Shotcrete

Shotcrete in Newcastle and the Hunter

Sprayed concrete is how you build against ground instead of inside formwork: retaining faces, tank walls, pool shells, mine infrastructure. It is a pumping discipline at heart, which is why it has lived alongside our fleet for decades.

Where it earns its keep

Built against the ground, not in a mould

Ground support and retaining. Cut faces, batters and shafts stabilised as they are excavated. The Hunter's mix of clay, rock and mine legacy ground keeps this work steady, and it is where our mining background shows most.

Tanks and water infrastructure. Circular walls without circular formwork. Sprayed shells for tanks and treatment structures on industrial sites.

Pools. Most in-ground pools in Australia are shotcrete shells. We spray for pool builders across the region: the shell your tiler works on started in one of our lines.

Mining works. Drives, portals and infrastructure, sprayed to spec under mine supervision regimes. The compliance habits this work demands carry across everything else we do.

Shotcrete quality is mostly invisible at handover: compaction behind the reinforcement, thickness where the design says, no shadowing behind bars. It shows up years later, which is why the crew matters more than the machine.
